Hell on the Humber
Hell On The Humber is an endurance event series like no other. Hundreds of runners and walkers from across the country descend on the world-famous Humber Bridge, to test themselves in running, walking, shuffling, and crawling over it. Competitors take on the tough and demanding route for 6, 12, or 24 hours, as they try to complete as many 4-mile laps as possible in that time. There’s no upper mileage limit. Garth De Roux completed the 6-hour race. He did 9 laps, 36 miles and finished in 3rd place! He even did it dressed as an elf! Great effort Garth.
Bedford Harriers Half Marathon
Jonathan Shaw completed his first sub 2-hour half marathon in 1:58:48.
Epilepsy Action Reindeer Stampede 5K
Now in its 8th year, the Epilepsy Action Reindeer Stampede is a 5km festive, family fun run raising money to help more people to live a happier and healthier life with epilepsy. A great way to kick off the festive season, the event is suitable for the whole family, with a mini-stampede for children under 8 years of age. On the day runners are entertained and encouraged by carollers and bands to help create a fantastic festive atmosphere. Four members of our ABG took part this year. Well done to Jules Hastings, Davinda Rai, Kirstie Wormald and Ian Brown.
