Bingley Show 10K
This route is approximately 10k on public footpaths around Bingley and St Ives Estate. The race is held as part of the Bingley Agricultural Show. Two Harriers took part this year. Theresa Duckett finished in 1:04:15 and Victoria Brides in 1:18:00.
The 9th edition of the 24h Conti Thunder Run was held on the weekend of 22nd & 23rd July 2017 at its regular venue Catton Park, Walton on Trent. This is an off-road relay race against the clock.
One team member must be on the course at all times during the 24hrs. Runners must complete one full 10km lap before changing over with a team mate but may run 2, 3 or more laps at a time before changeover. The team with the most laps completed when the clock stops after 24hrs will win.
Well done to the teams who took part.
Amazing achievement for Steve Raby, Aisling Wall, Lindsey Clegg, Ian Fitzgerald and Rob Wells who finished 2nd in the mixed 3-5 groups.

Northumberland Coastal Run
This is a multi-terrain race taking in trails, footpaths, beaches and roads. The Northumberland Coastal Run is one of the most spectacular races in Britain. The actual distance varies from year to year depending on tides but is usually about 14 miles. Torrential rain and mud made for tough running conditions this year.
First Harrier to stride across the sands was Philip Boynton in 1:26:17. He was followed by: Ed Newbould 1:33:40, Martin Critchley 1:36:10, Lee Greenhalgh 1:37:00, Paul Freeman 1:38:42, Ron Taverner 1:40:28, Ed Sanders 1:40:35, Liz Huby 1:42:46, Sean Veal 1:45:17, James Mangeolles 1:47:15, Martin Coates 1:54:20, Janette Freeman 1:58:12, Serena Blackburn 2:01:16, Keith Park 2:03:04, Jamie Stewart 2:05:16, Carol Girling 2:06:23, Phil McGeever 2:20:06, Helen Fagg 2:28:12, Sheila Mason 2:33:15, Caroline Faithwaite 3:17:34 and Frances Wilson 3:17:37.
Holme Moss Fell Race
A much smaller field of runners braved the mud to tackle the Holme Moss Fell Race, a category AL fell race of 15.8 miles with a climb of 4216ft. Two of the 141 finishers were Harriers. Nathan Crossley finished in 3:45:45 and Lio Achard in 4:07:13.
York Chocolate 10K
See York Run York’s first 10km race, celebrating York’s chocolate history. This is a 2-lap run around York’s Knavesmire, overlooked by the grandstands of the racecourse, Terry’s clock tower and Goddards (once the home of the Terry family). The race is off road and the terrain includes both path and grass. All finishers received a medal and a chocolate themed goody bag. Julie Norman was the only Harrier taking part finishing in 1:02:14.
