This was the third of four self-guided trail races near Leeds, each approx 5 – 6 miles long, all starting from country pubs on Wednesday evenings during summer 2016. The Horsforth Hurtle started from The Old Ball in Horsforth. Conditions were pleasant and sunny. 100 runners took part. The race was approximately 5 miles.
Rob Furness was first Harrier home and overall winner in 32:36. He was followed by: Lee Greenhalgh 37:58 (3rd), James Hingley 43:30, Emma Drake 52:01, David Womersley 52:01
and Claire Richardson 1:07:17.
The fourth and final race is on 17th August from The Scotts Arms, Sicklinghall, 6.30pm.
