This is a relay of five legs with two runners per leg, taking place each June in hilly terrain near the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Starting from and returning to Bingley, taking in Wilsden, Denholme, Oxenhope, Haworth, Oakworth, Steeton, Silsden, Addingham and Ilkley with some stunning scenery en-route. It is a scenic, 50-mile circular, hilly, off road route and quite hard. Each leg is around 10 miles. Each pair hands over to the next pair in the same team at set points around the route.
The men’s A team were 6th and the ladies A team were 2nd. Liz Huby and Lindsey Clegg were the fastest ladies on leg 2 and Ciaran Forde and Mark Smith were the fastest men on leg 5. Well done to everyone who took part, as well as Club Captains Alan Squire and Bev Elliott for the excellent team organisation.
