Temple Newsam 10 Mile
The inaugural ten mile TNT trail race – organised by local club St Theresa’s AC – was a muddy affair, in places more like a cross country than a trail race. The route was a challenging mix of muddy hills with sections of hard surface trails. It was a cold and miserable winter’s day, although luckily the rain held off for the majority of the race. Overall, runners rated it a well organised race and a good course with plenty of enthusiastic marshalls – a great addition to the racing calendar. Eight Harriers were in attendance for the inaugural race. Lee Greenhalgh was first Harrier home in 1:12:47, followed by Caroline Thomas 1:26:22, Sarah Papadimos 1:35:16, Catherine Gray 1:41:48, Jackie Ford 1:42:21, Nicola Revill 1:43:44, Jean Ellison 1:45:41 and Hilary Wharam 2:19:49.
