The local fell racing community see out the year at the Daleside Auld Lang Syne Fell Race held on New Year’s Eve. Three Harriers were in attendance for the 2018 race.

Swiftly following the festivities, it was the usual bumper Boxing Day turnout for the Chevin Chase, a seven-mile run over Otley Chevin, starting and finishing in Guiseley. 31 Harriers took part this year.
On Saturday 8th December, a group of Horsforth Harriers joined over 300 runners to take part in a “solidarity run” in support of a group of runners who were recently attacked at the end of a training session at Temple Newsam.

This was the final race in the EvenSplits Leeds 5K 2018 series with the wet, windy weather reflected by a lower turnout. 12 Harriers took part.
The Hardwolds 80 route follows the Wolds Way from Hessle to Filey passing through chalk landscapes with dry valleys and stunning wildlife alongside market Towns and ancient villages such as Brantingham, Londesborough, Thixendale and the deserted medieval village of Wharram Percy, before arriving at the seaside resort of Filey.
