It was bleak conditions for this year's Mytholmroyd Fell Race, a tough 7-mile route across the moors of Halifax.

Only after becoming injured and unable to run for 3 months did I gain a glimpse of what truly lies at the heart of parkrun. It is so much more than obsessing over how many regional parkruns you have visited, compiling pie charts of your running statistics, shaving precious seconds off your best times or the urge to beat that smug runner who always manages to pip you at the finish line. It’s all about the magic that goes on behind the scenes to make parkrun the global phenomenon that is has become today.
On Friday 9th February 2018 the club will be holding its annual awards presentation night to recognise the achievements of our club runners during 2017. The event is also the biggest social event of the year for the club, a great opportunity to socialise with many of your fellow club members old and new.

Swiftly following the festivities, it was the usual bumper Boxing Day turnout for the Chevin Chase, a seven-mile run over Otley Chevin, starting and finishing in Guiseley. 33 Harriers took part this year in chilly conditions.
In 2017, Even Splits launched a brand new 5K race series, held at the Brownlee Centre Cycle Circuit in Leeds. Following the success of the inaugural series, it will return for 2018 with 10 monthly races being held between February and November 2018.
